Islamic studies, such as the fields of Islamic Education, Al-Quran and Hadith, Islamic Thoughts, Fiqh and Islamic Law, Islamic History and Civilization, Modernity, Language, Islamic Literature, and Islamic Communication. For this reason, the journal is expected to contribute constructively and comprehensively to the enlightenment of Islamic knowledge. This journal is published in two editions every year, in April and October.</p> <p align="justify"><strong>AL-Jauhari</strong> scientific journals invite scholars from all backgrounds related to Islamic studies to publish their articles. Articles received in the al-Jauhari Journal are not limited to research reports but also conceptual ideas and book reviews. Manuscript sent can be written in English or Arabic. Since then, the pondok school has become an educational platform for the Malay community. The uniqueness of pondok studies is that the education system stands according to the Malay-Islamic mold without neglecting the importance of the Arabic language in its curriculum. Thus, many study texts written in Jawi are produced to meet the demands and needs of the local community. In addition to imparting knowledge, the pondok school also plays a role in developing students' skills. This is where the motivation to conduct research, to find out the role and contribution played by the pondok school from the point of view of developing human potential. The methodology used is document analysis which refers to the writings related to the study of the pondok. Overall, the qualitative method was chosen because it is more relevant for the purposes of collection, screening, analysis and drawing conclusions on the data taken from the document. However, in several areas, including in East Lampung, there has cc/ been a decrease in crime in the last four years, which is believed to be influenced by the role of Islamic religious counselor. This study aims to examine the educative and consultative role of Islamic religious counselor in crime-prone area for community harmony in East Lampung. This study used a qualitative method using a case study design. The research participants are all of islamic counselors who worked in Office of Religious Affairs (KUA) in several areas prone to criminal in the East Lampung such as Jabung, Labuhan Maringgai, and Gunung Pelindung. These areas were chosen pusposively based on the highest crime rate areas in East Lampung. Research results show that participation Islamic religion counselor can effectively improve the character of society, especially the mother and the father in a family with optimizing various religious activities so that potential criminal action will be minimized. Islamic counselors are found to have a better approach in educating the society rather than teacher, and able to give in-dept counceling than general counselor because they basically understand more on the ciscumstances and condition in those societies. Meanwhile, ta'aqquli which is interpreted as a religious understanding that is born from the spirit of Islamic law is revealed. The method used in this study is based on a literature review. The data collected is based on the search for several documents, literature, scientific journals related to the context of this study. The analysis was done descriptively. The results of the study found that Ta'abbudi is absolute, static, and its existence is not based on mere outward benefit, while ta'aqquli is relative, not static, and its existence is based on the benefit of humans so that it is rational. However, every ta'aqquli must contain the values ​​of worship. On the other hand, every ta'abbudi contains benefits for humans. Polygamy is a discourse that has long been discussed in-depth in Islamic jurisprudence. Rasyid Ridha as a reformist figure in the modern age criticized and reviewed the law of polygamy that had been established in Islamic jurisprudence. This criticism was expressed by Rasyid Ridha because he saw that many people did not understand the essence of the verse about polygamy and then they misused it, so that many families did not achieve the goal of a harmonious marriage (<em>sakīnah</em>, <em>mawaddah</em>, and <em>rahmah</em>), and it even gave rise to wide and alarming social problems. Rasyid Ridha specifically discuss this theme in <em>al-Manār</em> chapter al-Nisā’ verse 3 and also in his book <em>Huqūq al-Nisā’ fi al-Islām</em> (Women’s Rights in Islam). This research shows that Rasyid Ridha views polygamy as something that is permissible but has very strict conditions. A. Halim Hasan, H. Zainal Arifin Abbas dan Abdur Rahim Haitami. Kitab Tafsir al-Qur’an al-Karim by these trio scholars was among the pre-eminent works of contemporary tafsir in Indonesia acclaimed for its balanced method of commentary using transmitted narrative (<em>al-naql</em>) and rational judgement (<em>al-‘aql</em>) in commentary. Some crucial issues of politics addressed were justice, democracy, shura (consultation) and freedom while social issues treated were hypocrisy, history of the Children of Israel, prophethood, natural disposition, intercession, mysticism and arrangement of nature. The method was descriptive and analytical in highlighting political and social views brought forth in the Tafsir. The finding shows that the political and social issues addressed in this work have been significantly established. Abdul Wahab Chasbullah as a figure who played a role in realizing Nadlatul Tujjar and also the Al-inan Syirkah Cooperative. The problems investigated in these writings are in several ways, namely the background of KH's life. Abdul Wahab Chasbullah, the efforts of KH. Abdul Wahab Chasbullah in the Nadlatul whatan, Nadlatul Afkar and Nadlatul Tujjar organizations and the influence of KH. Abdul Wahab Chasbullah towards society in economic, political and social terms. To examine these problems, this study uses a literature review method to reveal historical facts about the role of KH. Abdul Wahab Chasbullah in Nadhlatul Tujjar. To analyze these facts, the researcher used an observational approach, interviewed historians and also looked at existing books and journal articles. This study found that KH. Abdul Wahab Chasbullah was born in Tambakrejo Village, Jombang in March 1888 and died on December 29, 1971. Based on his lineage, Kiai Wahab Hasbullah, namely Kiai Said, is a kiai who is still a descendant of Sunan Pandan Arang Semarang. Born and raised in a pesantren environment, Mbah Wahab did grow up with strong pesantren values and character. Even at the age of 13, he has started his odyssey from one pesantren to another. Even after being satisfied with studying in Indonesia, he settled in Mecca to study knowledge from various well-known kiai. Nahdhatut Tujjar was founded by KH. Wahab Chasbullah in 1918 to fix the economy of Muslims on greed and monopolized by the Colonialism. Based on the exposure of data and findings in the field as well as the results of research discussions, it is shown that the improvement of the professionalism of PAI teachers at SMP Negeri 1 Momalia is carried out through four teacher competencies, namely personal competence, pedagogic competence, social competence and professional competence. The four competencies are carried out in synergy, perfecting each other in all teacher activities in schools. However, the competencies possessed by PAI teachers at SMP Negeri 1 Momalia are currently still not at a perfect level, there is still a need for improvement and improvement of these competencies.
