This article discusses the process of Islamic social acculturation in the Naung Ri Ere' tradition that has developed among the people of Biringngere Village, North Sinjai District, Sinjai Regency. The Naung Ri Ere' tradition is a hereditary ritual performed after a wedding ceremony and is understood as a form of self-purification as well as respect for ancestral heritage. This study aims to: (1) describe the process of implementing the Naung Ri Ere' tradition, (2) analyze the socio-religious impact of this tradition on the community, and (3) examine religious leaders' views on the continuity of the Naung Ri Ere' tradition. The research method used is qualitative with a case study approach through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study show that the Naung Ri Ere' tradition has undergone a transformation of meaning through a process of acculturation with Islamic values, so that elements that conflict with the teachings of monotheism have begun to be abandoned. This tradition not only functions as a cultural identity but also as a means of strengthening social solidarity within the community.
