Abstract

This research seeks to investigate the importance of cooperation between teachers and parents in enhancing disciplinary practices among eighth-grade students at MTsN 1 Aceh Tengah. A qualitative descriptive design was adopted for this study. Data collection involved preliminary observations alongside semi-structured interviews conducted with four categories of informants, namely the school principal, members of the school committee, homeroom teachers, and the parents or guardians of eighth-grade students. The analytical process applied an interactive approach consisting of three stages reducing, presenting, and concluding the data while source triangulation was employed to verify the validity of the data collected. The findings indicate that collaboration mechanisms including student notebooks, WhatsApp class groups, parent meetings, and home visits have a significant positive impact on student discipline when implemented consistently. The analysis through Al-Ghazali's three conceptual frameworks habituation, value alignment, and continuous supervision reveals that teacher-parent collaboration is not merely an administrative strategy, but a theological-pedagogical necessity in Islamic education. The study concludes that effective collaboration requires consistent implementation and active responsiveness from both parties to produce sustainable behavioral change in students
