ANALISIS PERAN ORANG TUA DALAM MENERAPKAN PENDIDIKAN KARAKTER ANAK DI ERA REVOLUSI INDUSTRI 4.0 (STUDI KASUS GURU BERKELUARGA DI PP. AL-AMIEN PRENDUAN)

Abstrak

Industrial revolution 4.0 is a combined system of internet with industry, which is all implemented using technology and digitization. Globalization has a positive and negative impact on every citizen of Indonesia. The life current of situation and freedom of information greatly affect of education and children's, especially their character. Al-Amien Prenduan Islamic boarding school is an educational institution in which a 24-hour educational process takes place. Apart from being required to teach and educate the students, the teachers are also busy taking care of their families. Educators, especially parents, have a big responsibility to educate their children in kindness, and shape children's morals based on Islamic moral principles, this is the same thing experienced by family with teachers in Al-Amien Prenduan Islamic boarding school. This research discuss how teachers have families at TMI and MTA Al-Amien Prenduan Islamic boarding school implement character education to their children, as well as what are the obstacle and supporting factors in it, especially in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0 (millennial era). The approach used in this research uses a qualitative approach, the type of research used is a case study, with sources of data to be collected are sourced from field surveys, conducting observations, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study, it can be concluded that the role of parents in educating the character of their children cannot be separated from the parenting styles applied by each parent with various kinds of technological sophistication. Besides being able to help the process of implementing character education also requires parents to take extra supervision and education. They  implement character education to their children in educational variety method, based on islamic guidlines.
