OPTIMALISASI PERAN KOMITE SEKOLAH DALAM MENINGKATKAN PARTISIPASI MASYARAKAT

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi strategi optimalisasi peran komite sekolah dalam meningkatkan partisipasi masyarakat di bidang pendidikan. Penelitian dilakukan di SMA Negeri 1 Pinogaluman dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif jenis studi eksploratif melalui metode Focus Group Discussion (FGD). Sebanyak 12 partisipan terlibat dalam penelitian ini, terdiri atas kepala sekolah, guru, anggota komite sekolah, orang tua siswa, dan tokoh masyarakat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peran komite sekolah telah terbentuk namun masih terbatas pada fungsi administratif, seperti penggalangan dana dan kegiatan seremonial. Melalui analisis data, diperoleh tiga strategi utama untuk mengoptimalkan peran komite sekolah, yaitu (1) penguatan kapasitas melalui pelatihan dan pendampingan berkelanjutan, (2) peningkatan kolaborasi antara sekolah, komite, dan masyarakat, serta (3) pengembangan sistem transparansi dan akuntabilitas dalam tata kelola sekolah. Strategi tersebut berkontribusi terhadap peningkatan kepercayaan publik, pengambilan keputusan partisipatif, dan peningkatan mutu manajemen pendidikan. Kebaruan penelitian ini terletak pada eksplorasi kontekstual terhadap praktik tata kelola pendidikan partisipatif di tingkat sekolah menengah dalam konteks sosial budaya lokal melalui pendekatan FGD. Secara praktis, hasil penelitian ini memberikan rekomendasi bagi pengambil kebijakan dan pemimpin sekolah untuk memberdayakan komite sekolah sebagai mitra strategis dalam pengembangan pendidikan berkelanjutan.
