Abstract

The ability to resolve social conflict is an important skill that includes emotional control, effective communication, and the ability to think critically and creatively in dealing with conflict. The phenomenon of low ability is seen in students of SMP Negeri 3 Bontocani, which is characterized by aggressive behavior, teasing each other, and a tendency to avoid conflict without a solution. This study aims to improve students' social conflict resolution abilities through group guidance with sociodrama techniques based on sipakatau values. This study used a quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest nonequivalent control group model, involving 16 students who were then divided into an experimental group and a control group. Data were collected through questionnaires and data analysis used the independent sample t-test. The results showed a difference between the two groups with a significance value of 0.000 <α 0.05, so that HO was rejected and Ha was accepted. This indicates that the sociodrama technique based on sipakatau values is effective in improving students' social conflict resolution abilities. Therefore, it can be concluded that the application of sociodrama techniques based on sipakatau values has proven effective in improving students' social conflict resolution abilities at SMP Negeri 3 Bontocani.
