Abstract

The implementation of the Fashohah Method at Pondok Pesantren Putri Walisongo Cukir Jombang involves strategic planning, technical implementation, and systematic evaluation aimed at improving the quality of students’ Qur’anic recitation through talaqqi, repetition, and direct correction techniques. The method focuses on the application of tajwid rules, makharijul huruf, and shifatul huruf to achieve fluency, and accurate pronunciation. This study employed a qualitative approach using a case study design. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation involving boarding school administrators, ustadzah, and students. The findings indicate that (1) the implementation of the Fashohah Method was conducted systematically and routinely every Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday after the Asr prayer through individual recitation sessions and group murojaah activities using the read-and-listen method, proper recitation modeling, direct correction, and supporting tajwid materials; (2) the students’ Qur’anic recitation quality improved after participating in the Fashohah program, particularly in the accuracy of makharijul huruf, shifatul huruf, mad rules, tajwid application, and reading fluency; and (3) supporting factors included a structured learning program and patient as well as motivational guidance from the ustadzah, while inhibiting factors included differences in students’ recitation abilities, lack of focus, talking during lessons, and tardiness. This study concludes that the Fashohah Method is effective in improving the quality of students’ Qur’anic recitation when supported by a well-organized learning system, qualified teachers, and continuous evaluation.
